MINI BUCKET EXCHANGE
DATABASE GOVERNANCE

MBX Evidence Standard

The published evidence hierarchy used to verify mini bucket release facts, physical variants, market evidence and community reports.

Verification belongs to facts, not vibes.

MBX does not treat an entire record as “verified” simply because one field has a source. Release date, production quantity, UPC, variant identity, market value and availability can each carry different evidence.

A
Manufacturer Verified

Manufacturer catalog, product page, release archive, SKU database, or direct manufacturer documentation.

B
Retailer / Distributor Verified

Identifiable retailer or distributor documentation tied to the exact bucket, SKU, UPC, or product imagery.

C
Physical Specimen Verified

A physical specimen documented with identifying photos, markings, packaging, SKU/UPC, or other repeatable identifiers.

D
Marketplace Transaction Verified

A completed transaction matched to the exact MBX record. This supports market evidence but does not establish release identity by itself.

E
Community Reported

Credible collector/community documentation that has not yet reached A-D verification.

F
Research Lead

Known or suspected release awaiting source or physical confirmation.

Correction workflow

  1. Collectors submit a specific field correction, proposed value and evidence.
  2. Submissions remain pending until reviewed; pending material does not silently overwrite the canonical record.
  3. Accepted changes enter the public record history with the evidence type and source.
  4. Disputed facts can remain explicitly unresolved rather than being forced into a false consensus.
